I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Cory Custer and Keith Brennan from Brighton Jones. I met Keith at a local networking event. He is a business development manager but I could tell right away that there was something a little different about him and the way he interacted with people.
A frequent complaint I hear in organizational transformation work is that there are too many meetings and that most of them don’t add value. If you do a search for how to have more effective meetings, results will include things like “have an agenda” and “stay focused”. In essence, the typical suggestions are to improve facilitation.
The internet is full of articles that claim you can solve your problem with a handful of “easy steps”. Weight loss is a prime example. One article claims three easy steps to lose weight: Cut back on sugars and starches, eat protein, fat and vegetables and lift weights three times per week.
